New Release Tuesday -- May 1st

Hey, it's May 1st -- a Tuesday! That means some more great Christian music releases today! Here's a list of the popular Christian releases today, along with a summary of each:

Point of Grace: A Thousand Little Things
It's their twelfth album, and the CCM trio is better than ever! Featuring the hit title track, A Thousand Little Things is an album that causes the listener to focus on the many things that we can be thankful for, rather than on the things that are out of our control. In addition, the album features some rather hard-hitting tracks, including the slower "What I Already Know," "Saving Jesus," and the country-infused opening track "Good Enough." This is definitely Point of Grace at their best!

Family Force 5: III-V EP

These guys seem to be constantly releasing new music! III-V is available exclusively on iTunes, and features two new songs, "Cray Button" and "Zombie." In addition, there are three remixes of older songs, "Kountry Gentlemen," "Love Addict," and "Fever"! I'm personally not a huge fan of these guys, but they undoubtedly have catchy, creative music!

Switchfoot: Vice Re-Verses

This remix EP from Switchfoot was released as a CD in time for Record Store Day, but it is now available for download on iTunes and Amazon mp3! This time, it features a fan-created remix of Switchfoot's latest single "Afterlife," in addition to the other six remixes (including my personal favorite -- Owl City's take on "Blinding Light"). So if you already have the CD, at least be sure to pick up the new track!

Beckah Shae: Overflow (Single)

Beckah Shae is showing her worshipful side with this new single off her album Rest to be released later this year. Ironically, Rest will be her seventh album after seven years of recording! Isn't that awesome? "Overflow" is a very heart-felt prayer for God to replace our weakness and selfishness with more of Him. I downloaded it this morning, and have had it on repeat. If you think you're going to miss Beckah's urban/pop sound, it still has a light pop feel to it. But if you're a fan of the "Here In This Moment" candlelight mix, you'll love "Overflow"!

Martel: Up In the Air (Single)

Technically, Marc Martel (from JUNO-award winning Downhere) released his new single "Up In the Air" to iTunes on Thursday. But this morning, I realized that his new single is #2 on the Christian charts! Martel also performed on American Idol with the Queen Extravaganza band on Thursday, and will be heading on the Queen Extravaganza Tour after the completion of the Called to Love Tour (the tour which also features label-mates Aaron Shust and Jason Gray). You can watch Martel's performance on American Idol here, and don't forget to pick up his awesome new single!

Are you planning on picking up any of these releases? If so, which ones? Comment below with your response!
