If you ask me, Robert Pierre is one of the best male vocalists in the Christian music industry. And, at 18 years of age, that is very commendable. Robert’s energetic music is certainly an inspiration to Christian teenagers, and the Robert Pierre EP is a great way to be introduced to Robert’s music.
Of the four songs on this EP, three are from Robert’s amazing Identity project, “Jesus,” “Breaking My Heart,” and “Identity.” “Jesus,” the opening track is a powerful and upbeat reminder of the power in the name of Jesus, and how He is always there for us. I greatly enjoyed the progression this track contained, which was even more appreciated after checking out the music video. Next, Robert covers “You Hold Me Now,” in what is definitely the best version of this worship song I have heard yet. Robert’s mature voice matched the music perfectly, in a track about the day when we see God and all is restored. Listeners of this EP will not be able to help but sing along at the top of their lungs with this track.
“Breaking My Heart” is a very creative track, speaking about how Jesus breaks our heart from the things that are wrong, so that He can replace it with Him. Robert’s soaring vocals were especially emphasized in this track. Ending the short EP is “Identity,” a track where Robert reminds the teenagers listening that their identity is found in Christ alone, not who they hang out with at school, or who accepts them.
The Robert Pierre EP is a great introduction of Robert’s music. His Identity project, which I own, is fantastic as well, and this EP perfectly put together all of his best works so far. Be sure to go get this free EP from Noisetrade today here!
