Louie Giglio: Grace [The One and Only] Review

I've studied the topic of grace in detail before, so I knew that Louie Giglio's Grace [The One and Only], a five-part teaching series on grace, had to be good. I was blown away by the simplicity and encouragement that flowed through the messages on grace that Louie shared.

Louie speaks of grace as a free gift -- something that God gave to us, by taking all of our sin and shame on the cross. Now, it's up to us to accept the free gift and walk in it, all of which Louie covers in detail over five one-hour sessions on grace. Using everyday illustrations, Louie shares the story of grace, and why it is important to us in an amazing way. Most significant to me, was talk four, "The Gospel According to Tupperware," in which Louie shared using tupperware containers what Christ in us, the hope of glory looks like. Also, in parts one and two, Louie shares that we are forgiven and freed and there is no condemnation over us any more.

Louie's teaching in this DVD will really bless you and encourage you to live your life 100% for the kingdom of God. He encourages the listener by reminding them that if they mess up, God's grace will cover us, but is also quick to add that we cannot misuse the grace of God and use it as an excuse to sin (as the book of Romans teaches).

I highly recommend all of Louie Giglio's teaching materials, but especially the Grace [The One and Only] DVD. Out of all three DVDs in the new Passion City Church Resources Series, this one was the best. Louie laid the groundwork for forgiveness and grace so simply, yet in a way that was so unforgetable, and easily applicable to every day life. Check it out today!

  1. Gah! I love Louie. Oh my goodness. isn't he amazing? The whole lamanine thing? The star video? I've never had one of his books -- I can't afford them. But *sigh* he's so amazing! So in depth.

update on my uncle: the cancer isn't lung cancer... but it's in his lungs. Whatever it is, it's stage 4. So -- no one really knows what to do yet. Still waiting on more information.
