Francis Chan: Crazy Love Book Review

After I heard Hawk Nelson's new radio single "Crazy Love," I decided to go check out the book by the same name that inspired the single -- Francis Chan's Crazy Love. I had heard about the challenging message of the book, so I got it as soon as possible.

Francis Chan's book Crazy Love deals with a touchy subject -- that most so called "Christians" in the church are lukewarm or worse. And since God told the church of Laodicea that He would spew them out of His mouth for this reason, Francis Chan takes a serious look at many common instances of our being lukewarm, the main being our desire for wealth. Fracis laid the groundwork well when talking about how we can be more zealous for the kingdom of God, and why we should be. He also used many Scripture verses to show common places in our life where we choose the world over God.

I very much enjoyed reading Francis Chan's Crazy Love book, and I definitely recommend that any Christian reader pick this up. You will be challenged in your faith to live every moment all for the kingdom of God, and to not waste any more time procrastinating. You will also learn how you can be more effective by throwing aside anything that gets in the way of God. Although a few points here and there seemed rather impratical, I definitely consider Crazy Love by Francis Chan to be an extreme faith builder and a must read for any Christian reader.
