GRAMMY Award Winners

So I thought for sure that Francesca Battistelli would have won... or Jars of Clay... or Jeremy Camp... or RED. Nonetheless, the big winner of the night was none other than this guy:

Israel Houghton! This is his third year of winning a GRAMMY, and this is significant since it was the title that many other Christian artists were competing for (Best pop/contemporary gospel album).

Third Day also took home a GRAMMY for "Live Revelations" for Best Gospel Rock/Rap Album. Jason Crabb won the "Best Southern, Country, Or Bluegrass Gospel album" title.

These are some pretty good turnouts. But I'm still upset that Francesca Battistelli didn't win... What are your opinions?

  1. Uh, Hillsong United! :D Actually, I don't even know what a GRAMMY award is for! I don't think I've even heard Israel Houghton's music. (What an ignoramous I am!)

But if it's an award for good music, I think it should go to Hillsong United. :D

  2. Oh Alice, don't be so hard on yourself! :D A GRAMMY is a worldy music award- so if a Christian gets one, it's a huge thing! (So it IS for good music!) Israel Houghton is Joel Osteen's worship leader! I don't have any records by him, but whenever I see him sing, it is outstanding.
